private:wearemammoth https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=577534 Nov 18th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open WE Are Mammoth A ridiculous company mismanaged beyond comprehension. Don’t work here. Remote work. Decent salary. Company paid extras. All equipment needed is provided. The long-standing leaders of the company had no idea how to manage the growing company or evolving culture. A ton of massive changes over the past few years, none of which were done intentionally or with leadership insight. It’s sad, that a company so rich in “successful” remote working culture fails so hard. The three founders were keeping a secret: they could not work well together and it ultimately destroyed the company. A ton of layoffs results. The CEO was too far removed from reality to fix what the other two founders destroyed. The one in charge of finances basically waited until the company was ready to go belly up before he sounded the alarm. This was essentially three companies. One spun off because the founders couldn’t agree on anything. The other, Kin, remains a part of the company. Which is sad, because Kin is a great product. It risks being destroyed under We Are Mammoth. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 2.0 1.0 5.0 3.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 577534 Open Just dissolve the company. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 May 11th, 2021 06:50PM May 11th, 2021 06:50PM We Are Mammoth Technology Software & Computer Services

Onboarding was mostly frictionless. Projects and initiatives were mostly varied, allowing an employee the ability to wear several different hats in terms of contributing. A good deal of autonomy to get work done. Transparency of decisions among management team were nearly nonexistent. Management of disciplines was less than savory, as some were left to languish without adequate support for far too long. Culture took a beating on a semi-continual basis with demoralizing layoffs of a little less than half the team at one point in time. Business development was an afterthought. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 5.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 2.0 577534 Open Realize that personal hobbies and other activities should come as secondary to the primary job of being responsible, accountable, and insightful leaders. Invest in developing your leadership team with input from your employees. Better balance between quantitative and qualitative metrics. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 May 11th, 2021 06:50PM May 11th, 2021 06:50PM We Are Mammoth Technology Software & Computer Services

I don't get a chance to interface with most people often, but everyone is super cool when we do get together. *The Partners care about the team beyond what they can do with for the Company. It feels good. *If you're the kind of person who views your occupation as another way to be socially engaged, you won't get that fulfillment at We Are Mammoth. We're a remote company. Your nearest coworker may be 100 miles way. *Working for a small company inherently means having a slower career trajectory relative to working for a large company. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 3.0 4.0 4.0 577534 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 May 11th, 2021 06:50PM May 11th, 2021 06:50PM We Are Mammoth Technology Software & Computer Services
private:wearemammoth https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=577534 Feb 6th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open WE Are Mammoth A place you can leave your mark on We Are Mammoth is a culture-forward organization. A lot of teams say this, but WAM definitely lives up to it. You can definitely make your mark at this company if you are driven and passionate about what you do. The founders listen to good ideas, and let people put them in place. The entire team is filled with really talented people, and it's hard to find someone who doesn't love what they're working on. People who are here just to collect a paycheck and not contribute don't usually last long. If you don't have good self-management skills, this most likely will not be the place for you. Since a majority of the team works remotely, it's really important that you're able to get your work done on your own, and set your schedules and priorities in order to be successful. There isn't a lot of focus on micro-management here. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 3.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 577534 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 May 11th, 2021 06:50PM May 11th, 2021 06:50PM We Are Mammoth Technology Software & Computer Services

They value autonomous and expect each one to be their own manager. They have their own in-house products, unlike most consulting firms. It's a very small company, and sometimes it can be chaotic because there is not that much management guidance especially when it comes to projects. This can be a problem when client requests become overwhelming. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 4.0 4.0 3.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 577534 Open Technical leads are sometimes necessary, especially for big projects. Designating someone to take on more of a manager type of role in development is worth the overhead. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "Director of Marketing", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 1151739, "responseDateTime": "2017-02-06T19:12:44.113", "translationMethod": null, "response": "Hi there! Thank you so much for the feedback. We completely see where you were coming from when it comes to managing projects. In fact, shortly after this review came, we tightened up our project management team and expectations, and are continuing to evolve that even to this day. We also began to evolve from a flat organization to having different levels of management throughout the company. So far, we've really seen progress there. Simple fixes have made a world of difference.\r\n\r\nAgain, we really appreciate letting us know.
