I had a flexible schedule, 4 day work week. This is a clinical location for the SWOSU PTA program. It was good to have students come in year round. It kept me sharp in my manual skills and it was fun teaching the students. The hospital has yearly allowance for employees to use for self or family member at convenient care, lab, etc...as well as a CUE reimbursement allowance yearly.

Shift work 630a-7p. Good teamwork amongst certain nurses. I enjoyed assisting the very sick to become well. Working side by side with hospitalist physicians who did ask for our input and quizzed us on what knowledge we had. Emergent skills were often put to the test along w/cpr skills. I feel confident in my ability to make good judgement calls in an emergent situation. I feel every person deserves compassion and kindness in their time of pain and sickness.

The budget issues creates tension for the employees. There is little opportunity for advancement. Paid Time Off is available, but there are no Paid Holidays.

I have worked at this hospital for a number of years and the administration is always been lacking. While I have come back some things do not change. It is very disappointing to know that you work somewhere that you are not appreciated.
