private:weworldwide https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=3817 Apr 9th, 2024 12:00AM Open Open WE Communications Public Relations Executive Singapore great people and culture but unfortunately internal structure is a hot mess - people are generally nice and willing to help out. - cross-sharing of knowledge - possibly a good place to build your PR basics if you’re put on a well-staffed team with good managers. experiences vary so significantly depending on which workstream you’re on. - good welfare benefits (PTO days, remote work, lunch allowances) - renumeration is a diff story haha they might lowball you if you have low self esteem so watch out!! and please advocate for yourselves. - favoritism, can be cliquey, some politics. u cld kind of avoid this if u play your cards right though - turnover rate is atrocious (though they always claim they are not the worst. i guess that’s supposed to make us feel better? it’s a race to the bottom really) - select workstreams and clients are clearly of much greater priority to management (understandably it’s all about the $$$). deprioritised accounts really fall through the cracks. really feel bad for clients who fall into this category because these accounts end up so severely underserviced and mismanaged. deprioritised accounts are usually understaffed and owned by very junior staff (max 1-2 years exp) who try their best but are limited by their level of experience (i mean if they could do manager level work they’d be managers right?) - promotion structure is extremely sus. it’s truly puzzling how junior executives are expected to drive accounts with minimal supervision but are deemed not experienced enough to be promoted? promotions are also frequently dangled but nothing really happens and there’s no real explanation for why promotions keep getting delayed too. 0.0 3.0 3.0 5.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 4.0 3817 Open shouting about your “achievements” and best workplace awards during quarterly huddles ring hollow when the day to day processes are a mess. organising fun parties and overseas retreats can’t cover up the fact the fact most people leave within 1 year or, more alarmingly, most people don’t even want to stay beyond their 3 month probation. we know all these activities are just a smokescreen for deeper issues. we’re not as oblivious as you think we are. so many “restructures” being announced every few months but are never seen through. so many promises made to address problems have fallen short. to be fair, we do see some efforts being made to better processes / ops but we also can’t wait around forever for issues to be resolved. please also relook at how you are promoting people. ask yourselves this: why would anybody stay in a dead end job? hope the management can put more effort into fixing fundamental problems instead of channeling precious time and resources into activities that might look good on the surface just keep up external appearances. so many good people have already left because they are so jaded and burnt out. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Open Apr 11th, 2024 07:50PM Apr 11th, 2024 07:50PM WE Communications

There is a culture of openness and knowledge sharing across offices. Leadership team is approachable and always communicating with staff / employees. Very top heavy, not a lot of opportunities for promotion, and benefits are not that great / salary packages not competitive. Attrition is super high due to RTO. Cost of returning to work exceeds benefits for thing like parking. Recent changes to move funds to support our cost of personal internet/phone to do work to use for parking is an insult. Our costs are going up due to RTO and the company is just playing accounting tricks. Working moms are leaving because of RTO. Covid times we could work remotely. Tech accounts were strong. Office is modern but completely sterile. Think a giant dentist's office in purgatory. Senior leadership on tech team have no feel for the business. They lack crucial people and client management skills. They regurgitate empty marketing lingo to try and sound informed. They are the best. Wow ... too many to count. First - really? After successfully working remotely since 2020, you are now REQUIRING us to come in THREE DAYS a week!? Why are you taking a step back in time? This has made for VERY unhappy employees who many are now looking for other opportunities. Lack of listening - leadership claims they are supportive, but when I've run into issues and I've reached out for guidance, it goes into a black hole. Unfortunately the mean girls are real. Clique City. But the most disappointing is what I've heard from my teammates when dealing with HR. They've lost their values.
