I cannot express how wonderful my time at Wheeling University was. There are always a few bad eggs I E, Ppl, Benefits... The good outweighed the bad 99.9%. I could go on and on and on about how wonderful everything is there, but I’m sure I would bore most of you. No institutional memory, just a series of terrible people in charge. The school is going down in flames because they want to charge more for degrees you can get anywhere else for less money. Currently a dozen former faculty are suing the university for various employment related reasons. We loved the community we had there. This could create poor communication as new rules/regulations were developed and not all the time implemented. Jobs were federally funded so when no continuation of incoming funds occurred, it could mean loss in jobs. As a physics/Engineering tutor, my work was basically to help student understand the topics. A typical day was really manageable with at most 2 students. Plus, my colleagues were always willing to give me hands when needed. Company was concerned about employees as well as students. Financial mismanagement caused problems at the time.
