Bad Management, Bad Pay, High Stress
The coworkers are kind because you're all grinding together. Free lunch on Thursday, office gym is nice.
Have fun being managed by a bunch of computer science PhD's that have no real business experience outside of their own company. You will be yelled at for no apparent reason and will always be stressed. The quotas are unrealistic and literally everyone will be PIP'ed at some point. The turnover rate is so high because people get burnt out or fired. You will also be severely underpaid the entire time. I cannot recommend enough-- DO NOT WORK AT WHOVA

I genuinely believe the company would be better if the cofounders only worked on the product and they let real business people run the business aspects of the company.

Fair and rewarding
I didn't try to find an easy job but rather a job that's rewarding and helps me build my tech sales career. So far I'm satisfied with my job at Whova. The bonus / commission structure keeps things fair and pushes us to do better. Starting out may be a bit tough but it pays off. Once you've got the hang of it, the rewards roll in.
The company recently moved to a new building with an ocean view. The business is doing well. 2 free lunches per week.
Need to adapt quickly as the product keeps evolving. Selling our product is not very challenging as it's well-known in this industry.

Great PMF and easy to sell
The product clearly has a market fit. Having been around here for a while, it's easy for me to sell and hit my numbers. The commission is pretty decent. I've had a few tough months, but the management team is supportive and helped me through them.

You have to work hard and put in effort, but that's true for any other company.

Wonderful place to work
- The new office is super nice. It's so encouraging to see the company's investment in the workplace upgrade.
- Warm, welcoming, and collaborative culture. Colleagues are the best to work with.
- Free lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Work from home every Friday
- Quicker promotion from SDR to a closer role than most other companies, at least in sales.
- The sales commission is rewarding for people who work hard and sell well. You get a commission acceleration when you over deliver.
- Top product in the market helps the sale. Customers love it.
Sales is a grind. You need to embrace the hard work and ups and downs.

-Really enjoyed learning from my sales manager
-decent office building

-This company is taking advantage of their employees by paying extremely low salaries well below the market rate
-High turnover and toxic culture

Good company, bad sales department
-Seems like every other department is competent, people seems happy around the office that aren't on the sales side
- You can move up to a closer role in under a year if you are willing to stick it out
- Management is terrible
- Not valued or treated well at all
- bellow average salary
- people who train you have very little sales skills, you mostly learn from your peers
Don't be fooled, they are clearly doing some fake reviews here. Just FYI, there is NO commission and the most you can make on sales incentives is a few hundred dollars over the entire course of your SDR tenure

Happy to work here
Collaborative colleagues, training and mentorship, growing company, impressive new office, two lunches per week.
Sales promotions here ride solely on results. Personally, I'm all for it, but if that's not your cup of tea, this might not be a good fit.

Hard work paid off
I started off as an SDR and got bumped up to AE. As some other reviews pointed out, you can climb the ladder pretty fast here. The SDR gig wasn't a walk in the park at first, but the colleagues and managers are super chill and always ready to drop some tips to help you get better. I did slip up on the quota once, but I managed to bounce back and hit it out of the park. The SDR team is a solid bunch, and I dig that the veterans are always up for helping out the newbies. Learned a bunch from the AEs too. And can we talk about the commission? It's pretty sweet.
- Hard work paid off in the end
- Have to keep up with the product updates and adjust the sales process accordingly. Not for everyone.
