This is perhaps the reason the company decided to rebrand itself as FitMyFoot (terrible name btw), and probably also why the previous CEO had to step down. The leadership of this company is crazy! As a visible minority, I've endured subtle racism in this workplace - more than anywhere I've worked before. I do agree that the culture is very sexist - majority of the leads and managers are all male (primarily white males). The people here tend to gossip a lot and like to be in your nose about things (whether it's micromanaging or knowing stuff that's personal). The CEO himself has said some chauvinistic things during the meetings, but brushes it off as jokes or "guy humor". There'll probably be another "5 star review" from a lifer employee, right after I post this because one of the marketing team's task is to monitor this page and post great reviews. If you need any proof just continue scrolling and look for the reviews labeled the most "helpful" on the bottom right corner. I still keep in touch with former and present Wiivv employees because they are that amazing - There is no safe space for employees to feel comfortable to voice true, honest concerns and feedback towards the leadership team and the office culture - Unfairness in compensation when comparing between male and female employees (this factors in those who were/are on the same team with shared responsibilities too) - Leadership shows favoritism - Exec team does not take diversity and inclusivity seriously (hint: the effort isn't suppose to stop after you hire a female employee or include a non-white male model in your ads) - In addition to the point above, I--as a non-white female, often felt like my voice was not heard, not acknowledged, or drowned out (usually by a male's voice) - Fosters a culture of overworking employees - No respect. Leadership does last minute meeting cancellations or don't show up at all because of other engagements - Micromanagement - Low employee morale - High employee turnover - Low pay - Top-down decision making. Leaves little to no room for exciting, innovative projects that come from the bottom - Claims to make data-driven product choices, but that is not the case at all - Leadership is not transparent with the team about important things like the company's financial runway. If you're not thinking of ways to change this up to make your company a decent workplace, then it's truly game over. I'm going to echo what a previous poster said: Stop with the micromanagement and egos. Listen to your employees. As harsh as this review seems, I'm speaking from my true experience. I'd love to see Wiivv flip around and improve for the better, starting with the leadership team trusting, listening, taking in constructive criticism from employees without giving them backlash, and taking action on everything that they've heard. San Diego Manufacturing shop isn't the place to be -Some really nice people to work with. - Lot of work perks if you're part of the Vancouver office. - San Diego managers are solid people who look out for their employees - You're treated like dirt if you work at the San Diego location - The company is so bad with money, you usually have to find another credit card for shop purchases or wait for them to move money from another account. - They give you a run around when you try to use your sick time. ( personal belief its paid out if they have enough in the bank) - They also barely follow health & safety rules while unsafe chemicals are out. - Don't trust their word on raises. Was given a $1 raise and didnt see it go into effect until 5 months later. - Difference between SD and Vancouver managers is massive.
