My company recently had a business interaction with WIN, and unfortunately, they displayed a concerning lack of responsibility in fulfilling their financial obligations. Despite multiple attempts to address an outstanding invoice, they have been non-communicative and has failed to honor their commitments. Their disregard for the consequences of their non-payment and their evasive responses raise serious concerns about their business ethics. Public mission is admirable, but rarely the focus of day-to-day activity or strategic goals This is not hard ... DO.NOT.WORK.HERE!! There are enough real reviews from actual employees to allow you to recognize the fake ones filed by the company to puff up their reviews and ratings (brief, overly positive, filed in batches, etc…) If you’re going to be in an individual contributor role/IT support role, note well - the building has routine power outages ... you will be expected to make the best of it since the CEO will not spend the money for a backup generator (most other tenants do have large backup generators) ... the company will not let you WFH, so you’ll stay in a dark cube farm, working on your personal cell phone, with flashlights, after hours, on weekends, on vacation, holidays etc. – with no overtime ... I think there was some WFH during CoVID, but none now that there are vaccine. If you’re going to be in management - there is no personal time, the company thinks it owns you if they pay you ... you will work nights, weekends and holidays, your children's field hockey games, concerts, performances … this is a "best effort" operation, not a "planned effort" one - you will burn the candle on both ends … if there is an RFP due, nothing you have as a personal commitment trumps huddling with your peers into the wee hours and concocting the response ... the owner actually expected deliverables from me in the minutes before and after a colonoscopy and was pissed when I didn’t answer my phone! .... I lasted almost a year and was fired just a few days before WIN had to pay my bonus … There was no severance ... my immediate replacement told me he lasted *12 days* before he quit and went back to his old employer. Aside from the overhead surveillance cameras, door access reporting, garage access reporting, computer surveillance, etc…, the company *actually surreptitiously monitors* you, your *physical location*, your *personal* calls and your *personal* texts through a VMWare app called "Beacon" (look it up) … top executive management review those reports … they’ll say you need to install it on your personal cell phone to access corporate email – DON’T if you expect any privacy!! The sales force drives operations - their vastly overly optimistic ROI projections for and commitments to clients result in unmeetable expectations for the support and operations teams and are only minimally based on hard data ... this results in a lot of blame being fired back and forth between Sales and IT, CSRs and Provider Network folks ... you don't want to be called into these firefights. IT DevOps is in India and operates with a JIT methodology, but the support expectations and SLAs are only viable with an onshore team ... the company will not fund that onshore team and expects the 1-2 FTE Analytics team to fill that role *on top* of their 60+hr workweek and no client deliverables can slide Top management involves themselves in literally the most mundane decisions, from LOW-LEVEL hiring ($9-25/hr), to carpeting, coffee selection and office name plaques … I found an overqualified candidate to do some low-level SQL support who was willing to commute into the office and shockingly accepted an offer at $20/hr (market for his skills was in the $50-60/hr range) … the Founder told me to reduce the offer to $14/hr - when the candidate balked, the owner said something akin to “good riddance, he didn’t display enough loyalty”?! … another genius candidate had a stutter, but he wasn’t client facing, so I didn’t care – I wasn’t allowed to hire him either … even though I had justified the role and position, I was never allowed to fill it The company needed a huge injection of VC $$ to compete in this space, but hadn’t received it by the time I was let go … major masthead clients were finally getting wise to the unsupportable ROI predictions and questioning the fees they were paying and the expense being foisted on their employees -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 5.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 3.0 2334546 Open Monitoring your employee's personal texts, calls and locations?! There is opportunity for change and improvement which is widely recognized. Helping patients get pregnant is what this company does by approving cycles. Great nurses, IT dept and customer service team. Company does a wonderful job helping patients. BUT - Depends on who you talk with. CT (where WIN is based) is a 'work at will' state. But still does not excuse them from firing another employee with NO warning, NO explanation. Director is a control freak, stated she had no time to talk about it (then PLAN better!!!!). Employee lost health insurance the NEXT DAY-They planned that well! And this is after working there for many, many years. No working with employees for them. They frown upon verbalizing yourself, and watch out if you ask a question, crisis!!! HR is horrible. Not allowed to suggest ways to improve their processes, lots of hush hush. No room for advancement. One RN Mgr and one RN Supervisor quit within 1 week of each other recently-Nobody really knows why, but both got better jobs!!! Lots of current employees are shocked and angry with how the employee was fired and the behavior of the Director, also scared for their own jobs.
