Not great if you're looking to advance quickly though compensation is adequate
|
Predominantly employs middle-age or older employees with a slow moving atmosphere. People tend to stay in positions so unless someone moves on or they make a new position just for you , there's no advancement. Both of those events are rare. They are usually expanding when hiring. They say its fast-paced but anyone that's actually worked in a fast-paced environment will realize they only have a half workload. Teams are small so changes are either constant and fast or extremely slow; there's no in-between.

Work Truck Solutions is a great place to start in one department, see if the job is a fit, and if not, make a lateral/advancing move into another department that works better. Management has been very open to feedback across teams and giving employees room to grow. The company has big goals and requires input from all teams to reach those goals - be prepared to contribute in ways that may not fit just the job you were hired for, but do well at those tasks and you'll be rewarded accordingly.
Great place to get your feet wet in the dot-com/start-up world, as they've been around a while and have an established customer base but still offer the benefits that come with working in tech.
Legit the only downside is the downtown locations - one office is much nicer than the other, but the whole downtown atmosphere is not welcoming anymore. Not the company's fault at all.

This company has a great culture and I was excited to work there when I first started. However, I quickly realized that the company was not run well (CEO) and was on its way out. Refreshing, non-repetitive office job

The best part of working here for me has been the people. The company's still small enough that it feels really tight-knit, and everyone is willing to help out or collaborate on a project.
If you do your job well and you have ideas for new projects, there's a good chance you could lead them. It's a great resume-builder.
The benefits are also really good, I pay $0 for health coverage (no dependents), and it's a much better plan than I had before.
