Compensation, coworkers, good food, relaxed environment

Management is completely dysfunctional. You’ll be scheduled but never know when you get to leave and they’re not considerate about your responsibilities outside of work; basically selling your soul to them. You have to tip out everyone: hosts, bar, and food runner. These are amongst the many things wrong.

Easy going work environment, customers are great, great place for craft beer buffs
|
There is little room to grow within the restaurant, they don’t encourage learning about the craft beer which hurts your sales, they don’t provide the trainings they claim are available for cicerone training (at least they don’t go through with providing that information to you), there is high turnover rate and their solution is to overstaff with people who aren’t reliable and don’t care about the job

Care about your staff by listening to their needs and suggestions; they are the ones who are taking care of your guests and their needs, encourage growth of knowledge to increase sales, research your products to acquire better rotating drafts, and give your good people incentive to stay (I.e. Follow through with giving information about cicerone trainings, upcoming events, opportunities to become trainers, base shifts and bar positions on performance and merit, etc.)
