They don't leave me in the dark of what needs improvement and are honest with what needs improvement. I used to work in healthcare and made a total job switch coming here. All my coworkers helped me learn and were open to teaching. It's refreshing to work in such a positive work environment. I don't have anxiety going into work anymore like I did before (which totally sucked and so glad it's gone!). I have a normal work schedule, no night shifts or being on-call. Actually feel supported. And they are open to new ideas that we all brainstorm as a group every week. Oh there are so many. First, it's very apparent that this school is playing damage control. There were quite a few negative reviews posted recently, but shortly there after there have been numerous positive reviews posted. And if you read between the lines, the verbiage is the same. My guess the positive written by the same person (allegedly). My advice , STAY AWAY, it's a toxic culture built on false promises,lies and no communication. Management has no accountability as they run unchecked through people. This is NOT a do right company, it's a sneaky stealthy company. If you ask questions about the lack of transparency, you will be shown the door. PLEASE avoid the heartburn. I came to WyoTech never having done any recruiting before. The first few months I didn't make much progress. Everyone including management were very patient with me sharing advice and assisting whenever possible. The head of admissions took me under his wing and taught me much of what I know now. This is by far one of the best places I have ever worked. People here are so friendly and WyoTech is absolutely a one of a kind place to work!! I'm supposed to write a downside to WyoTech.. I haven't experienced any real downsides yet. If you give it your all. If you want to work at a company that builds you up instead of down, WyoTech is the place for you! I have been very surprised by management and their willingness to adapt and change when given input by employees. Everyone is so nice and it is a great work environment. I think that any work environment that treats its employees like family is a work environment worth keeping! With the change of ownership, there has been a lot of changes from the last two previous ownerships. I think that many employees that got rolled over with the old company and had a second chance for success under new ownership thought they could continue the same practices without any adaptation to new expectations and procedures. WyoTech just needs employees that are willing to ride out the growing pains of pretty much being a start-up and go from there. If you are a potential employee that needs constant oversight and instruction, this company is not for you! Where to begin? Poor benefits, terrible management with absolutely no communication until you here what you are doing wrong. We didn't have any regular meetings or training. Honestly my experience has been completely different than those I've read that trash the place. I've found the leadership to be very honest and they communicate well. The assertion that it is closing down is patently false. And no one was laid off. There were some people who were terminated for performance reasons, but the company is growing and is a great place with a lot of great people. It's been through a few ownership changes in the past decade, but it was recently purchased by local ownership so we're in the best position we've been in for quite some time. Like any business, it isn't perfect, but it's a great company who does right by it's customers and their employees.
