Good at giving you days off that you request, good dental coverage.... honestly this WAS a phenomenal place to work when it was privately owned, but it was bought by the Essilor Corporation and has been in a downward spiral ever since and it’s not going to be much longer before it crashes and burns and Essilor just absorbs production into another plant it already owns that doesn’t hemorrhage money away like X-Cel has been so they can keep their shareholders happy. Illegally pay men more than women in the same job position, tell you you aren’t allowed to share what your wage is with other employees even though it’s illegal to prevent you from doing so under the Equal Pay Act, illegally force new hires to use a pay card to collect wages without any other options (may have changed since I reported them to the department of labor and industry) don’t properly train employees and get upset when you do something wrong even though you weren’t trained or were trained improperly, tells you to follow an SOP that hasn’t been updated since at least 2013 and doesn’t even have the correct information, when other workers quit you get to do your job AND their job without extra pay or even appreciation, cater to bad employees because they personally like them but don’t offer any incentive to employees who show up and do their work, don’t give scheduled raises on time or back pay for the time difference from when raise should have taken effect, don’t hire temps until at least double their temporary assignments (supposed to be a temp for 4 months but often have temps 8 or more before hiring on) so they don’t have to offer benefits, outrageous medical insurance premiums if you have dependents (does not matter if you have one dependent or ten, insurance plus dependents costs nearly $500 a month, not including co-pays and must have annual check ups and complete certain healthcare tasks or must pay steep penalties), management does not communicate or let you know what is going on or any plans/timelines until THEIR bosses get on their case, won’t promote leadership because it’s “not in the budget” so everyone gives you conflicting instructions with no person actually in charge of the department and then whoever’s instructions were not the ones followed gets angry and gives you attitude, denies critical care coverage to eligible employees that pay a premium for it even though it should be covered, corporate profits over people model, and it’s just all getting worse and worse by the day... -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 1.0 5.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1184096 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 4.0 May 12th, 2021 07:41PM May 12th, 2021 07:41PM X-Cel Optical Company Health Care Equipment & Services

Managment is very rude. Don't care about people or staff.
