Xanodyne was a company with a lot of promise - but in the right place at the wrong time

Middle management and employees had a great work ethic. Initially it was a fun place - work hard, play hard. The technical expertise was very high.
|
Too many changes in executive management and strategy led to demise. The venture capital groups had too much politics and made some strange decisions on financing, executives and m&a activities.

Upper management should have acted quicker to get the IPO done before the economy took a dive. All of the M&A activity was not kept quiet - too many visitors to the HQ - should have held meeetings offsite.

Great benefits. DM was solid and was great at communicating honestly with the district.
|
Goals and promises of new products never came to fruition. We kept hearing about company IPO and new products in the pipeline. Instead, we sold me-too drugs.

Nice people to work with; company car; decent budget for promotional activities; not a lot of after hours work; in the beginning the compensation plan was great - high bonuses
|
Only one product to sell; nothing in pipeline; company is for sale; poor communication from upper management about future of company; frequent manager ride along's; rigid targeting; hard to get new prescribers added to territory; frequent mis-alignments of targeted prescribers; quarterly compensation plan changes; very little support from home office on managed care; no current negotiations for managed care contracting; they fired the 3rd party company doing the managed care contracting; poor marketing materials; infrequent script data reporting; frequent territory realignments; several layoffs in the past 3 years; no patient assistance or physical co-pay assistance cards; uncertain future outlook
