Can't Imagine a Better Tech Company to Work For

*The people who work here are top notch, driven, intelligent, highly productive, and all around kind wonderful people.
*Any concern I've ever brought to management has been listened to with concern and addressed to the best of their ability.
*They listen to ideas and even if its not the right time you feel heard
*Challenging work, definitely no day is the same
*The company cares about the culture and work to enhance it even during a more remote model
*The CEO cares about inclusion and it means a lot. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've been given.

The vibe of Xola is what any startup tech company imitating those in silicon valley. The workload for the position really consistent of those who have worked in retail tech jobs (geek squad frys, apple, etc.)
- They do provide a casual environment and provide weekly lunches. Depending on your role, that may be the only bright side of this organization.
- Certain departments are riddle with office politics and constant shift of what you are actually needed to do.
- The managers there are brash and can lack any sense of respect. If it is obvious that you are being micromanaged then it is too late.
- They only work on a collaborative mindset, and if you do not fall in lie then you have no place here. be careful for those applying.
- FYI some of these reviews were asked as part of our initial training to show how well the ORG is so take that with a grain of salt when considering since it may not reflect how some people feel after 6 months in, 1 year in, etc.

- If you are going to preach the gospel of being "Transparent" and "Upfront" then actually do it, and not under the ruse of passive aggressiveness and thinking that it only benefits a small group.
- Stop having key roles work remotely when it is necessary that they need to be in house.

-Incredible work life balance, great hours, work from home options, and more!
-No micro-managing, the management at XOLA trust and respects you as adults and respects the decisions you make
-Amazing on-boarding/interview processes, felt good to see all women in high positions as well as interviewing with the CEO and meeting on a personal level
-Beautiful work office, all apple products, and really outgoing upbeat staff!
-Snacks and catered lunch regularly (I mean cmon that’s the life)

- A LOT of new information, it can feel overwhelming at time but training typically takes about 2 months so you have time to process everything
- A lot of independent work, so you will need to be knowledgeable on information on your own and be really self efficient
-Small team. So the work you do matters, and if you slack be ready for some convos!

- can be a large workload if you aren't strong in time management skills and goal setting
- you do sometimes have to seek out feedback (positive or negative)
- some stress if you aren't confident in troubleshooting and working in a customer service environment
- learning a new software can be tough, but Xola as a whole is very easy to pick up with practice and consistency

Amazing Company - Startup Life

Xola is one of the only companies that I've worked for that really cares about their employees. I have worked at places where you are literally a 6 digit employee number, nobody knows who you are, etc - this is not Xola. The management makes a point to ask people how they are and truly care about their well being.
From a product standpoint Xola really does provide one of the best booking platforms for customers. Not every customer is the perfect fit but for those that are - Xola stands well above.
Team lunches, team outings, ping pong table (I did mention start up life), casual work dress, flexible hours, 401k, etc

Xola is a startup. If you are looking for 6 x 401k match, or ESP plans, you'll need to look elsewhere. At times things can seem like they are going every which way - again this is startup life and needing to be able to quickly shift as the market does.

Best place to work - until you realize it's not

Some of the best people on the planet work here, lots of free snacks and lunches, benefits are good, work from home is good, flexibility in a lot of ways, work-life-balance is good sometimes.

Management at Xola flushes money down the toilet. The San Fran and Houston offices each spent something like $10,000 on tables alone for the dining areas, and even more for decorations and for gifts for people getting married and having children (I'm not against this - it just isn't financially responsible to do it to this extent) and because of bad decision after bad decision, Xola had to let go whole teams of people in Houston and SF. People they could have held on to, had they made more fiscally responsible decisions.

Please watch your wallet. People don't need catered lunch every day, they don't need free snacks and sodas. I guarantee if you ask your employees if they'd rather have their other team mates back for an extra month or have catered lunch every day, you'd get your answer.

- The interview process was laid out in clear, step by step detail. It was a simple interview process that helped frame exactly what to expect with the job, and what hardships can come with the job. Knowing not only the good parts but also the challenging parts made me feel comfortable accepting the job. I was not sold fairly tales.
- Everyone is extremely supportive through the onboarding process, which in itself is amazing. I have worked for fortune 500 companies that invest a lot of time, money and energy into the training process and Xola, hands down, is the best training I have ever received.
- The company is VERY transparent with all their employees in regards to where the company is heading, what it's initiatives are, what people do day to day and general business practices. I have not been with a company that is this open wit their business plans before.
- The facility we work in is located in a prime spot in town so there is plenty to do and see on lunch or after work.
