Not many, the atmosphere is decent, I guess. Good work life balance.

There are a lot of problems. Management does not seem to care about those under them. They have immediately blame people, especially those underneath them. Management refuses to take any responsibility for anything that goes wrong. In addition, what they expect is not clear.
They laid multiple people off while I was there. Not for any particular reason, as far as I know. They will hire people and lay them off 2 months later (or less). It is a very disorganized place that makes you fear that you may be gone any minute. Definitely an alpha culture (and it's awful).

Take responsibility for your teams. I have never worked at a place where a manager would literally pawn all bad numbers off on someone else so they don't take any heat. Really sad and pathetic.

Most of the people are nice. Decent product.
|
Extremely alpha culture... personality and posture are more important here than anything. The loudest voice usually wins and managers value their own opinion over experience or input from others.
Leaders constantly give mixed messages, go back on promises, ignore problems, shift blame when things don’t get done and pretend like everything is ok until the next emergency. Badmouthing is all too common plus an occasional shouting match.
Might still be somewhat worth it if pay were decent but its not. Benefits are well below average and perks don’t even get close to making up for it.

Benefits are just medical and are extremely high deductibles. They will cut your pay as much as possible to be as cheep as possible. The dollar rules the outcome.

Look into how much each position is worth with your employees. Remember that people expect the average or just over the average pay of the trending salary. Remember that a company's worth and value is how you treat and pay your employees. If you hire the bare minimum you'll get the bare minimum.

1. We make a very real difference in our clients businesses.
2. Very smart and talented people everywhere you look.
3. A product/solution that we can have confidence in (not just vapor-ware).
4. Allowed to grow and progress into new roles and take on new challenges.
5. Company was boot-strapped so we can stay focused on making a positive impact on our clients (not ONLY on profit or to position for an exit).
6. Very much NOT a big soul-sucking corporate environment. We get to do real work that gets noticed and not just be a small cog in a massive machine.
7. Really awesome customers who are fun to work with and partner with.

2. Product releases can be less customer-validated than they should be (not tested in a real-world environment).
3. Not as much “big vision” as there once was (but some recent new additions to leadership seem to be bringing that back).

Keep doing what you’re doing, things seem to be on an exciting path for us. Don’t be afraid to think big but stay focused on the core of who we are.
Don’t just stay “locked in the box”, go out and talk (but more importantly OBSERVE) more with customers who actually use the product every day. Experience the problems faced and our solutions to them more hands on.
