With respect to the culture at Xtime, culture is very important to us and it's something we have worked hard to sustain as we pivoted to working from home. I agree that it has been challenging. I believe that the best ways to implement positive change is to lean on ideas that come from our team members on how to best maintain our fun culture. I highly encourage the discussion between team members and leadership to develop and act on those ideas. With respect to compensation, we have a full team that is dedicated to benchmarking compensation to ensure that we attract the top talent in our field. I am disappointed that you feel there are gaps in this area. I encourage you to bring your concerns to leadership for our consideration. Part of our culture at Xtime is that we always encourage open, honest and direct dialog. The best way to effect change is by acting on it. Thank you for your review!
Good job for people who like to be overworked with no ability to influence anything
|
|
Working from home. Benefits. Fulfillment of improving dealer business.
|
They half-way design software based on who knows what. They don't ask the PRIMARY team who talks with dealers every day. They roll out a feature and it is almost always a train wreck. Spend time on enhancements that are utterly useless. Never fix the problems we cause. Only create new ones with new features.

So much disconnect between departments. Half the people you expect to be knowledgeable within the company know less than our clients do about the software. Also, Xtime is nothing like vAuto. vAuto is a solid product with solid engineering. Xtime is Frankenstein's monster. The expectation to do the same thing with Performance Management that vAuto does just doesn't add up.

We strive for continual improvement and to enhance our product with our clients at the center of everything we do. We work to accomplish this in many ways, but two primary channels are our Performance Management team (the team that is directly involved in client interactions on a daily basis), which provides us Voice of the Customer input and feedback on a routine basis, and through our Dealer Advisory Boards, which are comprised dealership personnel of varying roles representing various brands and dealership operating models. Based on your feedback, it sounds like we have an opportunity to make our team members more aware of the input that informs our product roadmap! I am disheartened to hear that you aren’t confident in the knowledge base of our PM team, as one of the top compliments I regularly receive from our dealers is how much our PMs help them with their broad use of our software. As for your perception of disconnect between departments, we’ve worked really hard as a leadership team to make sure teams are connected and feel empowered to work together ‘across the aisles’; the examples of this of which I am most proud are those where our team members have taken the initiative to organize meetings to highlight the work in cross functional areas - where Team Members can learn about work in areas outside of their own. As we continue to grow as a company, I would encourage you to communicate your concerns with leadership, participate in determining where we need to find a different way to aggregate product feedback, and take the initiative to help us break down barriers where you see them.
Our Xtime team has worked hard to deliver great products to the market and as a result has very strong brand presence. But great product and brand are only part of the story - we are fortunate to have an exceptional sales team to champion our products in the market. In response to your concern regarding benefits to our consumers, Xtime has actually been highly focused on continuously releasing value added products and features to our dealers, without increasing price. Just recently we launched several new features/products, including Self Check-In, at no additional charge, enabling safe and contactless experience for consumers, which is tremendously important in partnering with our dealers to make sure they have business continuity during this ‘new normal’. Most importantly, I operate under the rule that communication is an important component to company success. I ask that you to reach out to leadership within Xtime to share your concerns and to help us develop ways to better serve our clients. Worried more about shiny new features than a good product (MVP)
|
|
Benefits. It seems a lot better in the first 6 months than after a while working here.
|
Whoever is deciding what engineering or development should be doing is not dialed in to real life in the dealership or listening to the enhancement requests (that are mostly NOT enhancements, but problems with functionality) Shiny new things don't draw them in- a good product that works as expected does!

Stop releasing features that don't even do well in pilot testing..... if the PM on the project says it's not ready...listen!!! If it will cause more problems than solve....go back to the drawing board!

Especially in a case like this where we could benefit from knowing the specifics. With that said, generally one of the greatest challenges in developing product is balancing feedback from a variety of end users. Often times, what suits or is appealing to one user, can be completely the opposite to another. This is why it is so critically important to get new product into the hands of end users sooner, rather than later; this is what gives us the opportunity to learn, iterate on product changes more quickly and to be more confident we are making product changes in a way that will best serve our very broad client base. Sometimes this requires patience, and I appreciate yours as we grow and learn.
This classic car has been run into the ground by a terrible driver

What once was a glorious company to work for is now just an illusion. The pros dwindle as time passes as upper management has been replaced with soulless corporate machines who care more about the numbers than the people.
The good:
The people in the trenches with you.
The PTO
The 401k matching

It certainly has been a year of significant change. Companies must constantly evaluate need for change, including organizational change, in order to be able to grow, thrive and to be positioned to evolve for the future. One of our key competencies here at Cox is to champion change, and that is why I feel strongly about our commitment to always get better at what we do. One of the improvements we’ve worked on over the past year is to improve communication with our team members, so that even if they don’t agree with the change, they can at least understand the ‘why’. Lately it seems upper management only cares about quantity over quality. The team’s workload has increased almost 400% in the last year, yet no additional help has been offered or any additional bonuses or rewards for taking on such an increase. Increase in sales is always positive but working employees to the bone with excessive travel and deadlines and requirements will take its toll. Also too many meetings. Instead of producing I am sitting on conference calls that could be summed up in an email.
