lot of work low growth
|
Technical team is good and helpful. Managers micro manage to impress clients. Usually work 60 hrs but cannot bill them. Low to none salary increment and health insurance is very bad. Escalation to managers goes no where.

Good place to work, like a family
|
Good place to work in general. Supportive like a family, but also the same quirks as a family sometimes. Small teams are usually nice, but lead to difficult on-call rotations. Health insurance and Retirement plans not great, but great vacation policy.

I really enjoy working at XTIVIA and have been here for over 5 years. We are a customer-focused consulting company that rewards hard work and promotes growth in both your professional career and personal life. We have a great team that support each other even when you're on different projects. For the most part, the work is different from project to project which keeps your skills honed and allows you to learn new technologies. As with any job, the monotonous and tedious tasks happen....but that's not the norm. If you're somebody who loves to be challenged and work hard, you will enjoy working at XTIVIA. If you're used to a lax and "coast through life" job, this is not the company for you. We are a team of highly talented professionals. We'll support you, lift you up, and help you grow in your career. However, incompetence and being unwilling to learn new skills isn't tolerated. In short, you won't last long and you won't enjoy working here.
The benefits are good and the company really does care about its employees. The open door policy many companies talk about really is true at XTIVIA. You can call the CTO or CEO directly if you have any concerns or issues. The end result is employees who enjoy their job, support each other, and build quality software for our customers.

Great place to work

The Digital Experience group has been a great place for me to work. I find the projects we take on challenging and most of them are intellectually stimulating. We celebrate diversity and work hard every day to deliver successful projects under circumstances where a lot of groups would and sometimes have failed in spectacular fashion. There are many scenarios where our team has been called upon to save the day, or clean up the botched delivery of some of the world's largest and supposed best consulting houses.
Here are the big things I love about XTIVIA:
1) Small company - with a strong emphasis on family first.
2) Continuous learning - stay on top of technology trends. As technology shifts, we're right there with it using the latest and greatest tools and changing our delivery methods to align with market expectations.
3) Annual bonus - I've heard people grumble about our health plan or 401k contributions, but I prefer the cold hard cash so I can choose how it's spent. In a bad health year, that bonus might go towards making up for the cost of healthcare. For a good health year, that bonus might go towards a home project.
4) Greenfield development - vast majority of our work is not maintenance. I'll take the stress and excitement of overhauling a Fortune 500/public company web infrastructure over digging through the source code to find an elusive Exception that someone saw twice in production logs while they were looking for something else.
5) Emphasis on long-term relationships - over a quick buck. Our number one goal for clients is a successful delivery. That means working hard and being flexible on both sides.
6) Working from home - not every day for me, but we do have several people around the country working full time from a home office.

Love it at XTIVIA (10+ years)!

I love working at XTIVIA and have been here for 10+ years. It is a place that rewards hard work and promotes personal and professional growth while maintaining a laser focus on delivering great results for customers. The work is challenging for the most part, though just like every job, there are tasks that can be tedious. However, with projects ending, and new ones starting up, there is something new right around the corner to keep things interesting. If you are somebody that craves challenges and loves solving problems and are not looking to “simply coast in a job”, then XTIVIA is a great place to be.
Another concern for me when I first came here (eons back) was that I did not want to simply work for a “body shop”; I am thankful that XTIVIA is far from it and differentiates itself in many ways from the thousands of similar companies in the technology consulting space. The company really cares deeply about its employees, customers, and partners and this comes through in day-to-day interactions with all concerned.

Lot of positive energy

Xtivians are generally young, energetic and enthusiastic bunch eager to learn and share their learning - and have fun while they are at it. The work is fast paced, collaborative and productive. Almost all hires are smart, sincere, hard-working or all of these. This is not a big company where you can hide behind processes and crowds - so if you do not intend to contribute, you will not feel comfortable. The managers and upper management is also smart, hardworking, sincere and good people who care for the customers and employees. The CxOs are also very approachable and open minded. This is one of the most transparent companies I have worked with. The pay is fair and benefits are okay. There is good opportunity to grow and learn to be a better software engineer. If you are hearing the company name for the first time, ask someone who worked there or someone who worked with an Xtivia employee and I think you will get good feedback.

Challenging work using the newest technologies

There is a lot I love about XTIVIA in the portal / digital experience group. I like the diversity and being able to work from home. The recent shift to unlimited vacation is nice. Working with the newest technologies is a huge plus. We are always expanding our horizons and working on the best of breed solutions.

A company is only as good as it's people. I've been working at XTIVIA for about 5 years and I still love my job. We have a great team that supports each other even across projects. We maintain a good work/life balance and the benefits are solid. The sales team is doing a good job bringing in new clients and the development team consistently delivers. Freeloaders that want to coast through life and do the bare minimum won't enjoy it here. This is a company for those who want to work hard and play hard. If you're competent and driven, you will enjoy working here. This company is a family, you won't be alone, we support and lift each other to rise to the challenge.
