You also have the opportunity to teach concepts to them in return. The pay is decent for the type of work you do. This is one of the worst contracts that I have ever worked on. The company frequently switches up on their word in regards to: job duties and positions, health and wellness benefits, transit benefits, and 401k. The 401k has yet to properly be set up and the contract has been operating since January(it is now September). The company forces everyone to get healthcare, even though you may already have it. There is no opting out. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was some type of ploy to save themselves money. Humana is not widely accepted in the area. The deductible is very high. We have had three supervisors since the start of the contract. Read between the lines. Expect the “entitled government employees” to complain about the daily activities of the contractors, however regular they may be. The number of infantile complaints made about contractors are unbearable; especially by a certain program director or WHATEVER she is (a self proclaimed very important person). Misery loves company in this office, and she will stop at nothing to show it. She takes out the deep despondency of her life on the contractors, or out on anyone unwilling to be her yes-man. Don’t let her see you happy. There is no purpose in putting in an honest effort here at work. All promotions and decisions are made based upon favoritism. Ask you to train new people hired that they are paying less salary for, and then once they are trained they fire you stating job performance. Never had a review or a complaint about job performance. The company first did not do a good job screen for my job. They asked me various questions about my personality and one semi technical question related to if I knew the material. A simple Yes satisfied them. The company also tells employees that they should NOT file for unemployment because the company will deny them although they are not stupid enough to write it down but will advise you orally. This practice really leads to hate this company due to their "Dirty" tactics.
