Flexible time schedule is good. You can come at 9 am which is fine, or you go home at 2 pm, which is also good. As long as you get along with your supervisor, you can arrange your own working schedule.
|
Management is poor, VP vs general employee ratio is high. Basically, the company structure is a reverse pyramid. Fewer people working and more people talking. There is no responsibility and Quality control does not exist. you can do as much as you like or as little as you like.

Lots of potential but no leadership
|

There are a lot of very good, very intelligent people who work there. The products they make are cool and have a lot of potential. The stuff is flexible and lightweight so it can go nearly anywhere. Huge potential for trucks, boaters, campers, RVs
|
Very high VP to everyone else ratio for a small company. They aren't making many sales and are still operating in startup mode so low salaries. The biggest problem is management. There are PHDs who are VPs in the company despite having no business experience other than at this company. And the rarely listen to anyone that doesn't have a PHD, despite those people having a decade or more of experience in their field.

Listen to the people there. Many of them have been doing this longer than you. You have good people working for you. Let them show you they are good. Even if you DO know better than they do, if they don't ever get to contribute they will leave, and take all their knowledge with them.
