Autonomy to do your job, but support from manager when you need it. Clearly communicated and well-defined goals and progress to those goals both from your manager about your own performance as well as about the company as a whole. Exciting technology that is extremely well received by buyers (it actually does what we say it does). Really friendly people (we almost always eat lunch together as a company - weird, right?) and a heavy emphasis on fun in and out of the workplace (baseball games, parties, high intensity ping-pong tournaments, movies at Cinerama, etc.). Even though we're expected to get a lot accomplished there is great respect for work/life balance from the top down and leading by example. No silent guilt trips.

Can be a chaotic environment at certain times of the year. We work really hard and are expected to make things happen without the resources of a large company. I don't really see these things as cons...it's part of what makes it exciting to work here.

It's a work-hard, play-hard environment with some very smart people that are enjoyable to work with.
|

The salary is very competitive and you're given full autonomy to get your work done - but the team is always willing to help when/if needed. Management always has an open door and there's always an opportunity to speak your peace or to ask questions. It's a relatively small team, but everyone seems to get along and work well together. Oh, and half-day Fridays during the Summer... I love that!
|
There's very few bad few things to say about working at Yapta. Pioneer Square after dark isn't always pleasant, but there's not much you can do about that.
