I manage retail operations at yogasmoga since the beginning. I admire the company and what it stands for. I had a serious medical condition which was extremely challenging for me both emotionally and physically and I shared my challenges with the founders/management team and they were extremely supportive of what I was going through - they protected my privacy, gave me the time to heal and were overall very very supportive. The company provided insurance for staff and I was so thankful for that --- there were different choices fro health plans and I was given the option to upgrade to a much better health plan by having a small copay which was a life saver. I cannot thank the founders and the management team enough for what they did for me.
I managed the retail operations, a couple people write nonsensical comments - staying that founders/management didn't have experience in retail -- these people are completely missing the point. The founders started the company from scratch and execute a vision for the company ---- this is a yoga and wellness company and retail is just one component which people like me are hired for. It's like saying ---- Steve Jobs didn't know anything about retail --- well it was not his job-- his job was to vision to build a technology company. Thanks to the founders, this company employed 200 people and gave them an opportunity ---- including me, for which we should be very thankful.
I loved working for this company. It's truly a special place to work.

-CEO Tapasya Bali: treats employees like garbage

The management was great. I had a great experience working with Tapasya and learned a great deal from her. I will value and cherish each moment spent working here. Got great satisfaction with the work I did here.
Another thing I'd like to point is, employees at all levels had access to top management to discuss any sort of issues. There was know hierarchy and everyone worked as a team!

I worked with a few very intelligent and successful hardworking people. They were passionate about the company, clients and health & wellness.
|
The upper management has no retail experience and completely lacks any necessary knowledge on how to run an organized, efficient, successful business (despite their Ivy League degrees & Wall St. experience.) The hostility of the company culture combined with the above made working here a tumultuous experience. It appears to me that there are also many illegal and unethical business operations that could result in lawsuits.
