Nice environment and fun product, lacking management leadership
|
As I was working out of HQ in NYC where there are no stores there was a very loose typical work day schedule, which can result in a fun create your own adventure type experience. However, I did not feel my position was necessary for the business and my attempts to make it a worth while job were often over looked, I feel this was due to the lack on direct leadership or really structure of any form.

Slow pace, poor management
|
A typical day at YOGASMOGA would consist of getting to work 30 minutes before the store opened to clean, turn on music, set up the mannequins, etc. Almost everyday would be super slow, including the weekends. Which left the employees tired and bored from standing on our feet. The management wasn't as strong suited as they could of been, considering they were going through some difficulties before the store decided to close down October of 2017. What I learned from working here was a better understanding for patience and to never let anyone (regardless of their age) tell you your passion in life would get you no where. The most enjoyable part about working for this company were my coworkers. We all had so much in common and got along great.

I enjoyed my time working at the company. It's a smaller younger company, so we became close and was generally a fun and energetic environment With high end clientele and various different events.
