Decent culture, but product is not there and leadership leaving.

-Great people
-Fun enough culture
-Unlimited time off was a nice perk
-Nice office downtown

-No 401K matching
-A lot of turnover in higher positions in the past year, can't seem to hang onto great leaders
-Development Opps were not there and barely used our own platform's PM/coaching side. Advice was "you can do anything here" but really gave you no direction after that
-Monthly "WFH" stipend wasn't much to talk about when they finally approved it
-Seems like a big disconnect from upper leadership/investors to the lower-level employees
-The vision for a better employee experience is there, but just felt like at the end of the day Vista was in it to make money while putting in as little investment as possible

Disappointing Response to Disaster in TX

Some really great, caring, and intelligent people work here.
|
It seems like the facade is falling — at one point I really felt like the business cared about its people, but the recent response to the winter storms in TX are proving otherwise. Individuals are expected to work if they have power (but no heat or water) and there seems to be a disconnect from the reality leadership and common employees live.

Challenging and a good deal of change... but loving it!

So much opportunity for growth - everyone wears so many different hats and there's no walls between departments. If you're interested in learning about something new or exploring career opportunities outside of your department you have the freedom to do so.
The benefits - Our own product and the perks from that. Good medical, dental, and vision coverage. Flexible PTO still amazes me to this day. Flexibility for remote work or working from home some of the days of the week. Stocked break room with a BEVI for unlimited sparkling water. Fun office events and office wide celebrations.
The PEOPLE! - My gosh, never have I met a more committed and genuine group of people in my life. All of my coworkers are a delight and such hard workers! Never have I felt more excited about tackling intense projects or going to after hour happy hours.

Lots of change - If you don't like change, this is not the place for you. While we have been around since 2013, we still have the startup mentality. If I look back to when I first started (over a year and a half ago) to now it feels like a different company... but again, the people and product are who really make it great and an amazing place to be.
Open office Environment - I personally don't HATE it, but wouldn't mind nicer desks with more privacy.

"Fun" culture, sometimes, but it feels forced. There are some cool people at Kazoo, and if you're cool, you'll like it there for that aspect. Product is snazzy at first sight, but it's a nice-to-have and they rarely make any real improvements.

Toxic culture, lots of lay-offs, Vista-funded which means disconnected leadership and poor decision making. I'd keep looking if I were you.
