I found my coworkers pretty easy to work with - I had a lot of independence to pursue projects, work creatively. No micromanagement from superiors - Low pay meant high employee turnover - Little opportunity for raise or advancement - I was working 35 hrs/wk with the promise that I would go full time. That never happened and after a few years I couldn’t continue to not have health insurance, so I had to leave the company 0.0 4.0 3.0 5.0 2.0 3.0 5.0 278241 Open `- Rather than hire a number of part-time employees, consolidate duties into full-time positions so that employees can receive benefits. A lot of the job duties of part-time positions could have been performed by one person. While I know that the organization is not in the best financial shape, I do not think the institution can continue to operate effectively if their employees are having to work multiple jobs and unable to receive benefits. You must invest in your workers because they are what keeps the museum running. Most supervisors are not looking to help and nurture the younger people that they are managing. You learn a lot about folk art and what it ACTUALLY is about and why. The internship was in groups and it was a lot of hands on group activities and a lot of group discussions. Very fun place to start an internship at. It was a short time. Not many group members were as active.
