everything we do at yozio engineer team is so new and many times our customers are pushing the boundaries of our technology so never short of challenging tasks. the team is relatively small and everyone can work on projects with direct impact on tens of millions mobile devices that running one of our customer's app - pinterest, airbnb, overstock, etsy etc...

it's a small team so tons of work to keep everyone busy and some tasks are pretty tricky that takes days to figure out. and being a startup means it won't be able to compete on compensation with google etc yet.

It's a true start up so you need to be a self starter, need to be responsible for building things - not just asking for them. It's not a "cozy job" where you can coast - if that's not an issue for you, then it could be a great fit.

It's a startup- so you better like fast pace, doing (and doing it fast) over just talking, building and executing at the same time.

*Downtown Oakland location is super convenient from SF and EB locations. It's nice to be in a place that's not 100% tech, has the lake nearby for walks and great restaurants and bars.
*Super smart technical team who are all growth hackers in their heart and are excited about building a growth platform for businesses to use
*Employees have a voice in the direction of the product and company. Because everyone comes from different backgrounds, the discussions are lively and not a bunch of people agreeing with each other. This makes for a better team and product.
*Amazing opportunity to join a mobile growth startup that is focused on businesses growing in the mobile space and not focused on advertising.
*Ability to WFH when needed...though everyone's work relies on each other that I find myself wanting to get into the office to brainstorm and talk through problems and find solutions.
*Overall, a respectful group of people who focus on doing rather than talking about doing things! People respect work/life balance and each other more than any other company I've worked with.

- Early mover to the mobile data and personalization space
- Great investors and venture capital backers

- CEO is extremely difficult to work with. Micromanages his staff. Lacks strategic focus.
- High turnover rate, despite the company size.
- Founders are not as technically proficient as marketed.
- Feel I was oversold on the opportunity
