Learned a lot from working there.

Dying print industry made it not last.

Falling farther and farther behind
Nice group of people for the most part. No real drama, and nobody was expected to go above and beyond. Put in your 40 hours, go home, don't think twice about work.
It's about ten years behind the rest of the digital publishing world, and you can tell the company is hanging on by a thread. Morale is low, as you'd expect it to be.
Half the offices/cubicles are empty, the building is in that pre-neglect phase where the facade is starting to crumble (don't let the solar panels fool you!) and there was never much interaction between coworkers outside of work in my time there.
For the most part, nobody really seemed to go that extra mile, or care much beyond getting the next paycheck. As noted in the Pros section, people put in their 40 hours and went home, no more, no less.
Also, there is pretty much no room for advancement. It's like 12 employees, one manager, and an absentee owner. A good place to pad a resume and earn a paycheck for a time, but not much else.

Hire a dedicated office manager to oversee content. One guy shouldn't be expected to handle pretty much every aspect of keeping the lights on.

A catastrophe
There is nothing wrong with this place that a blowtorch can't fix.
A cheap, mismanaged, disorganized disaster.

The company's president should give the place back to his parents - they began the company and they knew how to run it profitably.
