The company believes that by pretending to be a successful tech startup it’ll become one.. ,,Radical transparency'' is a thing but most people are kept in the dark and conversations are one sided and often abusive. The company is run by incompetent sadistic bullies reminiscent of the Stasi. Inconsistent pay. Leadership sends threatening slack messages after 8pm. Very concerned about the positive reviews here. Started up for years with nothing to show for. + The culture is a toxic one because of the high pressure so called "Principle" and long hour work (work until 6pm or more on Friday) but very low pay in Berlin (not enough to pay rent) + Diversity and support is poor, no wonder most female colleagues already left. It feels to me that many reviews on almost any platforms are at least suspicious. In contrary to what it seems and the management proclaimes there is not much transparency when it comes to criticism and failures. Any of my attempts to alter/pivot an idea or question the upper management was kept under wraps. The management installed so called principles like Transparency but does not follow them what leads to a toxic culture of obedience and apathy. I've also had a lot of room to experiment with the technologies that I liked, to be creative, to come up with ideas and see them realised. The technical leadership is very open and, if you want to drive a solution, and you can justify your choices, all the options are open. In fact the CTO is always pushing people to leave their comfort zone and try new things! And of course, the parties in this company have been legendary :) Good personal time management skills are required, otherwise burnout is a risk. There are a lot of differences in motivation, ambition from person to person - not everyone is the same.
