If you are not part of the click don't plan on being kept on as an employee. I would never suggest anyone that has dreams of moving up in a company go to work here because it is based on who your friends with not your work ethic or the work that you do. The management team will stand together even when something is wrong and instead of discussing it with the person will just let them go. The people are great, but there is a ton of turnover. I learned a lot about my career and priorities from Zocdoc. I was often thrown challenges to figure out that helped me to grow. I learned a lot of what NOT to do from leadership. Only certain teams and people were given proper advancement opportunities. The culture used to be incredible. When I started working at Zocdoc, I really felt like I was part of something awesome, I was part of something that was helping people. Zocdoc had a rare culture and I had an awesome team. As leadership, business model and company structure shifted, the culture slowly started to die. All the good people left. I realized that I was pretty underpaid for average standards, given my experience, but I had to leave in order to excel at all. We were instructed to tell people that called in to do everything on their own. When you think about all the emails being answered in another country (India) telling patients they called up the doctors office to resolve the patients issues do you really think they could call with that big of a time difference? It's a great place to work though if you don't mind answering the phone and you're a young carefree person.
