The money was good, but once they took away the triple pay for overtime it really wasn't worth it anymore.
|
Supervisors and management have no idea what they're doing. They place is really dirty, employees didn't wash their hands. We were also forced to work with broken equipment and hurt ourselves trying to move 2500+ pounds of chocolate with a non powered power jack. Things would never get fixed when they were broken.

Extremely hot, dusty, and loud. At times a dangerous environment. Tenured employees clash with the seemingly “progressive,” direction being steering by middle-management. A divisive, tense atmosphere is the result. The multi-tiered management system, creates a constant power struggle, and often leads to confusion, as to who is the direct report. HR is laughable, incompetent, disgruntled, and mean-spirited.

Unfortunately, because Blommer has been so poorly managed for so long, It is just a horrific company to work for.
|
They have had several explosions. The health benefits occasionally are randomly cut off. There is no company information, directory, or receptionist so there is no way to access anyone to make them aware of the problem. Employees are left hanging to fend for themselves.

The Chicago locations are near public transportation.

This place is a total mess. Dental Plan was shut down for lack of payment. Payroll is constantly making errors. Management does not know what its doing. They are perfectly happy repeating the same mistakes.
