Pros
Mercari puts a lot of effort into training and supporting its staff. There are a number of tools available to broaden our skillset and meet with people outside your department.
Working from home has also made a huge difference in my life. I get more work done, and I have more time for me when I'm off the clock. Having access to my own kitchen means I don't have to do as much meal prep. I'm also not driving 30-40 minutes each way and dealing with traffic. Do I miss seeing people in person... sure. It might be nice to have the option to work 1 day out of the week in office. Realistically, I prefer working from home.
Cons
Management expects a lot from you. Sometimes the workload is a bit daunting, but at the end of the day we have a great team. CX can be very repetitious, and you need a bit of a thick skin to deal with some of the cruel things users will say in tickets. Then again, it's customer service, you know what you are getting yourself into.

Alright place to work

WFH was the biggest thing keeping me at the company. Pay could of been better. Laid off all of the CS to team to move the jobs overseas. They will let you go without a second thought to save a buck.

The managers were very kind and were great at delegating tasks. The company culture is great. The hardest part about the job is that the regulations for e-commerce are constantly changing so as soon as you become familiar with a process it changes.
