Under or completely unqualified, old fashioned managers brought in to lead a new teams. Existing teams not told about new hires/new roles. No guidance on how to work with new roles.
Has the old idea of knocking on doors will create leads and sell 200k microscopes..
Literally told to drive around and “walk the halls” to get meetings with CEOs of big companies. You can’t just get inside much less get a meeting with a ceo- and even if you could- they wouldn’t want an unsolicited person walking in.. management has no idea on how to do actual business development.
