The good and the bad.

- Many cool people - The opportunity for taking initiative is there (if you can find the time because there's a lot of work to be done anyway) - Many teams use personal evaluation frameworks which to some can be helpful in steering their career - Team integrations - Decent place to start off your career
|
- The pay is average, you're unlikely to be satisfied with it unless you're ready to push hard for a raise and have the ability to negotiate - Some departments are understaffed so if you're unlucky and diligent, you'll work your heart out without recognition - The environment has gotten a lot more rigid recently - Decisions taken by the management can be seen as bold which would be a pro or reckless which would be a con, I add it as a con - Make sure to stay loyal to yourself, staying loyal to the company is a bad move, employer loyalty is dead, if there are going to be cuts, you'll be a part of them regardless of your seniority.

Toxic leaders at the top mean nothing will ever improve. Support is overworked and work never seems good enough (at least our customers say so every so often). CXOs have no clue what they are doing. They say a strategy is coming or they are working on it but it never arrives (even after 4-5 years of hearing this). The constitution is not even followed. Instead they just change direction at a whim and put pressure on different parts of the org to "drive growth". Unfortunately they don't want to listen or care enough to improve their own leadership skills. The company is siloed more than ever and it is really sad to see the direction the CXOs have brought us.

Stop thinking the problem is in each team and look at your team. Do the internal work to actually lead the company vs micromanagement it. When there is no teamwork or strategy at the top, how do you expect growth to occur.
