Dr. Tyrone Smith Jr. is a global strategy and people analytics leader who inspires human resources innovation and transformation. He currently serves as the Global Head of People Analytics & Insights at Udemy. He has provided human capital management, people analytics, and workforce planning solutions at various organizations including Ryan, a global tax services and software provider; General Motors Financial; John Deere; and Oracle. Tyrone is an award-winning scholar, accomplished leader, consultant, coach, practitioner, and researcher who builds high-performing collaborative teams and effectively partners with business leaders and team members to identify, analyze, and solve complex business problems that help the organization meet its goals to drive business outcomes.
His academic career includes a Bachelors in Business Administration from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, a Global MBA from the University of Houston-Victoria, and an EdD in leadership and innovation focused on his research interests in people analytics for talent management and the future of work from St. Thomas University, along with post-doctoral studies in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Harvard University.
Susan has led Airbnb's People Analytics team since founding it in 2015. The team is a cross-functional mix including data science, qualitative research, I/O psychology and program management, and brings cutting edge analytical techniques to bear on strategic questions about Airbnb's employee population. Susan holds a PhD in Organizational Sociology and a MS in Computer Science, both from Stanford University.
Michelle is a Sr. Director of Insights & Technology at Adobe. In this role she is responsible for the transformation and integration of Adobe’s HR Technology, People Analytics, and Tech & Data operations functions. Under the mission of creating simple employee experiences and actionable insights through data & technology.
Prior to joining Adobe, Michelle built and lead the Intuit People Analytics team. In this role she lead the team responsible for data management & reporting, employee surveys, and people analytics & insights to enable better, faster decision making for HR and business leaders.
Additionally, Michelle worked for HP leading the Global Workforce Location Strategy and Saratoga Institute, now part of PWC, and managed Saratoga Institute’s Human Capital Measurement product and the team of consultants that supported the product. She has also worked in a variety of Analytics positions for Equaterra, Wells Fargo, Advanced Micro Devices, Santa Clara University, and Fujitsu Microelectronics. She has a Masters degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from San Jose State University.
Boris Spiwak is Director of Marketing at Thinknum and KgBase. Before joining Thinknum, Boris worked as a Financial Manager at Procter & Gamble's EMEA HQ in Geneva, Switzerland, and as VP Finance in one of Colombia's largest hotel chains. He holds degrees in Political Economy and Finance from Princeton, the London School of Economics, and HEC Paris. Originally from Venezuela, Boris has lived in over half a dozen countries.
