Norman Niemer is the Chief Data Scientist within UBS Asset Management's Quant & Data Science (QED) team, where he delivers data-driven investment insights. He is also responsible for both the business as well as technical aspects of multiple innovation projects that augment human decision makers with machine intelligence.
Outside of investment management, he builds open source libraries that accelerate data science and has led teams that built AI-based products that won several high profile hackathons. He holds a MS in Financial Engineering from Columbia University and a BS in Banking and Finance from Cass Business School (London).
